Software / hardware / experiments

I build software and hardware.

I’m Eithan Tuyilingire, cofounder and CEO of Rulix. I’m studying electrical engineering and computational data science at Michigan State, and I move between code, electronics, and product work depending on what I want to build.

Usually I start because I want something that does not exist yet—or cannot justify buying it.

Building Rulix and learning how export-control teams research, review, and document classification decisions.

The recurring pattern

Learn the missing thing. Build the thing.

I like starting with no idea how something works, learning it piece by piece, and eventually being able to build it myself.

Outside engineering, I run, ski, DJ, and play viola and piano. Projects are most interesting when they leave behind something another person can use.

More about me

Let’s talk

Working on something technically difficult?

I’m especially interested in hearing from builders, export-control professionals, and people who care about how products work in the real world.
